Sascha Zaps (b. 1974) started his professional career with a commercial vocational training at Siemens AG and subsequently completed his studies at the European University Hamburg with a Master of Business Administration (MBA).
From 1995 onwards, he worked in the finance department at Siemens Automotive. From 2000 onwards, he held further leading positions in the financial sector with Siemens VDO, Siemens Enterprise, as CEO at Telefonica Global Services and as CFO and Managing Director of private equity investments. His professional career also took him abroad to Belgium and the United States.
From 2017, Sascha Zaps was Senior Vice President at McKinsey & Company.
In his various executive positions at different companies in the automotive and industrial sectors, he gained extensive experience, particularly in the design and implementation of transformation programs, in carve-out and post-merger integration projects, and in the M&A area.
In 2019, he joined Schaeffler and assumed responsibility as CFO Industrial and Head of Business Development for the Industrial division.
As of September 2021, Sascha Zaps took over the position of Regional CEO Europe at Schaeffler.
