  • Schaeffler expands its range of bearing solutions for the food industry
  • Lubricant compound Lubtect is available for deep groove ball bearings, tapered roller bearings, spherical roller bearings, cylindrical roller bearings, and needle roller bearings
  • Lubricant compound Lubtect available with NSF H1 approval

The lubricant compound Schaeffler Lubtect offers an option for keeping lubricant even safer inside the bearing. Especially in food processing, the prevention of contamination plays an important role. This compound fills the cavity in rolling bearings, which are sealed on both sides. The lubricant is permanently stored in the porous structure of the compound, thus minimizing, if not eliminating, the risk of contamination from escaping lubricant. The bearings are lubricated for life. Relubrication, and hence the potential unprotected use of grease guns in these particularly sensitive application areas, is also no longer required. This contributes to the overall safety of the facility, which is particularly important for the food and animal feed industries. Even at low ambient temperatures, good lubricant distribution is ensured, thus enabling a longer bearing operating life. Lubtect is available for deep groove ball bearings, tapered roller bearings, spherical roller bearings, cylindrical roller bearings, and needle roller bearings. Schaeffler received H1 approval from the US organization NSF International authorizing the use of Lubtect in sensitive application areas. Lubtect is also halal and kosher certified.
