The job
Technical draftsmen specialized in machinery and plant engineering implement designers’ specifications by creating technical documentation on a computer. They produce technical drawings for products, special machines or tools.
The training
You will acquire a range of skills during the duration of your training, such as:
- Producing geometric designs (for example polygons, tangents and differences in radius)
- Manufacturing workpieces by machining, cutting or forming
- Sketching components and subassemblies in a specified spatial arrangement
- Computer-aided drafting of technical documents
The training lasts 3 ½ years.
The minimum educational requirement is an intermediate school certificate.
