Employees with first-class qualifications are a decisive success factor in global competition – now more than ever before. The objective that we pursue in our HR development and further training activities is therefore to support and qualify employees to meet the complex challenges of their working environment at all times.
For this reason, we have bundled the wide range of options we provide for the systematic development and expansion of knowledge under a single umbrella: The Schaeffler Academy. This is geared towards all employees and provides targeted training and advanced training measures for apprentices, employees, and management personnel in equal measure.
Over 5,800 further training courses took place in Germany in 2014, including more than 2,100 online training courses with over 24,700 participants.
In the USA, Schaeffler was named „National Business of the Year 2014” by the National Association of State Workforce Agencies (NASWA) in September 2014.
This award is presented for outstanding work that has a positive influence on the company’s employees, the sector, and society. In addition, two independent HR agencies also placed the Schaeffler Group among the top 100 employers in China. One of the reasons for this success is the German integrated degree program, which Schaeffler introduced in China almost ten years ago. This has earned the company the title of "China’s best 100 HRM (Human Resources Management)” and “Top 100 Best Employer China”. The Schaeffler Group has also received numerous smaller local awards honoring the company as a top employer. For example, three specialist magazines in Brazil placed Schaeffler among the country’s 150 best employers.
